Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has added another major trophy to his career after helping Celtic secure the 2025/26 Scottish Premiership title.
Celtic were officially crowned champions following a thrilling 3-1 comeback victory over Hearts at Paradise on Saturday afternoon.
The triumph marked the club’s 56th Scottish Premiership title, further strengthening their status as one of the most successful clubs in Scottish football history.
Iheanacho featured in the encounter after replacing Sebastian Tounekti at the start of the second half as Celtic pushed for victory in front of their home supporters.
Hearts had stunned the home crowd when Michael Steinwender opened the scoring in the 38th minute to hand the visitors an early advantage.
However, Celtic responded strongly before halftime, with Arne Engels converting from the penalty spot to restore parity for the Hoops.
The hosts took complete control in the second half as Daizen Maeda and Callum Osmand both found the back of the net to seal an emphatic victory for Martin O’Neill’s side.
Celtic finished the campaign at the top of the table with 82 points, ending the season two points clear of Hearts to clinch the prestigious league crown.
