Blessing Oborududu of Nigeria began her quest for a medal women’s Wrestling 68kg by defeating her Canadian opponent Linda Morais.
Oborududu did not start very well, conceding 2pts in the first mins of the bout, but she stormed back in second half to score Six consecutive points, going on to win the match 8-2 on points.
With the victory,Oborududu has advanced to the semi-final
Blessing Oborududu won Nigeria’s first medal at Tokyo Olympics.
