Sports Ambassadors in Ondo South Congratulate Dimeji Abimbola On Ondo Sports Council Appointment
The Sports Ambassadors in Ondo South have congratulated Coach Dimeji Abimbola on his appointment as the Chairman of the Ondo State Sports Council, describing the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his years of dedication and contribution to sports development in the state.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Convener of the group, Ibukunoluwa Obateru, the Sports Ambassadors commended the Ondo State Government for finding Abimbola worthy of the important responsibility.
The group noted that the appointment reflects Abimbola’s longstanding commitment to the growth of sports, particularly football development, talent discovery and grassroots sports across Ondo State.
According to the Sports Ambassadors, Abimbola has distinguished himself through his roles as Chairman of the Odigbo Local Government Football Council and Vice Chairman of the Ondo State Football Association, where he has demonstrated passion and commitment to creating opportunities for young talents.
They expressed confidence that his experience, administrative capacity and understanding of grassroots sports will bring renewed energy and purposeful leadership to the Ondo State Sports Council.
The group also urged the newly appointed chairman to use his position to further strengthen sports development across the state, with particular attention to the Ondo South Senatorial District, where numerous talented athletes and footballers require greater support, quality facilities, regular competitions, exposure and opportunities to develop their careers.
The Sports Ambassadors stressed the need for greater emphasis on grassroots sports, talent identification, youth development, improved sporting infrastructure and sustainable pathways for young athletes across Ondo State.
“We are confident that with your leadership, there can be greater attention to grassroots sports, talent identification, youth development, improved sporting facilities and the creation of sustainable pathways for athletes across the state,” the group stated.
The Sports Ambassadors further wished Coach Abimbola wisdom, strength, sound health and success as he begins his new assignment, expressing hope that his tenure will be defined by meaningful achievements and a lasting positive impact on the sporting landscape of Ondo State.
They also congratulated him once again and pledged their support for initiatives aimed at advancing sports development across the state.
