The victory secures Brazil’s place in the World Cup Round of 16, where they will face either Norway or the Ivory Coast.
The match began as a tactical masterclass from Japan. Defending with a disciplined five-man backline, they frustrated the five-time champions, cutting off passing lanes and stifling Brazil’s creative rhythm.
