Ondo FA Cup Final: Sunshine Stars U-19, Adamimogo Set for Clash as Queens Battle Onimarg

Sunshine Stars U-19 would lock horns with Adamimogo, while Sunshine Queens take on Onimarg in the Ondo State Federation Cup (FA) final today at the Ondo State Sports Complex.

All the finalists had already secured their place as the Ondo State Representatives ahead of the forthcoming President Federation Cup preliminary round of matches , so the attention now is on who will lift the trophy and finish as State Champions in the Men’s and Women’s Categories.

Sunshine Stars U-19 made it to the final after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Akure North. It was a tight game with chances on both sides, but they found the breakthrough and held on till the final whistle.

Adamimogo on their part, caused one of the biggest upsets of the competition, defeating Sunshine Stars Senior team by a lone goal to ended the Owena Whales impressive 31-year run in the tournament and booked their place in the final.

In the Women’s category, Onimarg secured their place in the final with a 2-0 win over Optimum Lioness. They were in control for most of the game and deserved the victory.

Sunshine Queens, on their part, moved into the final after receiving a bye. The NWFL side, would be ready and focused on the task ahead

Both matches are expected to be a keenly contested, with each team eager to end the competition on a high note.

Sunshine Stars U-19 and Adamimogo will battle for the men’s title, while Sunshine Queens and Onimarg will fight for the women’s title

Football Lovers will be looking forward to an exciting encounter as the teams take to the pitch with one goal in mind to be crowned Ondo State FA Cup champions.
