Head Scout and Technical Assistant of Gulf United Football Club, Dubai, UAE, Marcello Anyanwu, has expressed immense joy and excitement following the appointment of Spanish football legend Andres Iniesta as the club’s new Head Coach.

Speaking from his base in Dubai, the former MFM FC coach described the appointment as a timely and strategic decision that will significantly enhance the club’s ambitions both on and off the pitch.

According to Anyanwu, Iniesta’s vast experience as one of the greatest midfielders in football history makes him the ideal candidate to lead the rapidly growing club.

“Andres Iniesta is one of the finest players the world has ever produced. I had the privilege of watching him play in the UAE two seasons ago while he was with Emirates Club, and his quality, intelligence, and leadership on the field were exceptional,” Anyanwu said.

“I am confident that Gulf United FC will benefit immensely from his wealth of experience and football knowledge in his new managerial role. His arrival is a major boost for everyone associated with the club.”

Anyanwu, who previously served as a youth coach at Arsenal Soccer School Dubai Training Centre, has played a significant role in Gulf United’s development. Over the past four seasons, he has helped facilitate the signing of more than ten Nigerian players to the club.

Gulf United FC has established itself as one of the fastest-growing football clubs in the Middle East, thanks to its strong organizational structure, experienced staff, and commitment to player development.

As the club embarks on a new chapter under the leadership of Andres Iniesta, Marcello Anyanwu believes the future is bright for Gulf United FC.
