Sporting Lagos, Doma United Shine With Opening Day Wins In NNL Super Six

Sporting Lagos and Doma United got off to winning starts in the opening fixtures of the Nigeria National League Super Six Playoff, securing narrow but crucial victories on matchday one.
Sporting Lagos edged past Ranchers Bees with a hard-fought 1–0 win in the first game of the day. The decisive moment came just five minutes before halftime when Alex Leme rose highest to head home a well-delivered cross, handing his side the lead.
Despite sustained pressure and a spirited second-half performance from Ranchers Bees, Sporting Lagos showed resilience and defensive discipline to protect their advantage until the final whistle.
In the second fixture, Doma United also claimed a slender 1–0 victory over Inter Lagos. Fantami Yusuf proved to be the difference-maker, finding the back of the net in the 16th minute with a composed finish.
Both winning sides will now turn their attention to a highly anticipated clash, as Doma United face Sporting Lagos in their next fixture on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Inter Lagos will look to bounce back when they take on Ranchers Bees on the same day.
