Atlético Madrid Confirm Ademola Lookman Deal Until 2030

Atlético Madrid have officially completed the signing of Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Serie A side Atalanta, confirming the deal on transfer deadline day.
The 28-year-old arrived in Madrid on Monday and has joined Diego Simeone’s side in a deal reportedly worth €35 million, with a further €5 million included in performance-related add-ons.
Lookman has put pen to paper on a long-term contract that will keep him at the Metropolitano until June 2030.
Lookman departs Atalanta after three and a half highly successful seasons in Bergamo, where he established himself as one of the most clinical and exciting attackers in Italian football.
The club released a statement thanking the Super Eagles star for his contribution, praising his professionalism and decisive role in their recent domestic and European campaigns.
Despite attracting strong interest from several Premier League clubs as well as Turkish giants Fenerbahçe during the January window, Atlético Madrid moved decisively to secure his signature.
The smooth negotiations were aided by the strong working relationship between both clubs, built on previous transfer dealings involving Conor Gallagher and Giacomo Raspadori.
Lookman is expected to link up with his new teammates immediately and could make his debut as early as Thursday when Atlético Madrid face Real Betis in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
