Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie expressed her excitement following the team’s 3-0 victory over Tunisia in their WAFCON 2024 Group B opener.
The win marked the first time the Super Falcons have won their opening fixture since the 2016 edition.
Nnadozie, who made her 22nd appearance for the Super Falcons, was barely tested in the game, thanks to the solid defensive display. She impressed with her distribution and praised the Tunisians for their good performance.
“I feel so good, it was a good one, a good beginning for us,” Nnadozie said after the game. “The Tunisians are not a bad side, we respect them so much, they played a very good game but today (Sunday) was for us and we hope to continue like this.”
Nnadozie is expected to retain her position in goal when the Super Falcons face Botswana in their second group game. The team will look to build on their momentum and secure another win.
