Viktor Gyokeres Agrees To Join Arsenal, Gives Up €2m In Salary

Arsenal is set to sign Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres after the player agreed to give up €2 million of his salary to facilitate the transfer.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Gyokeres has already reached an agreement on contract terms with Arsenal and is expected to complete his move to the Premier League giants in the coming days.
Gyokeres has been keen to leave Sporting CP and play for a top European club.
He had threatened to go on strike after Sporting refused to let him go, but Arsenal’s interest and willingness to meet his demands have paved the way for his transfer.
The two clubs are now engaged in negotiations over the transfer fee structure.
Arsenal’s proposal has been met with resistance from Sporting, which is insisting on a higher fee.
