FCWC:Ogbelu In Action As Esperance Falls to Flamengo

Nigerian midfielder Onuche Ogbelu played the full match as Espérance de Tunis began their 2025 FIFA Club World Cup campaign with a 2-0 loss to Flamengo at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

 

The Brazilian giants dominated the first half, with Giorgian de Arrascaeta scoring the opening goal in the 17th minute.

 

Luiz Araújo sealed the win for Flamengo with a brilliant finish in the 70th minute.

 

Despite coach Maher Kanzari’s tactical changes at halftime, Espérance struggled to create scoring opportunities.

 

Esperance will battle Los Angeles FC in the next game while Flamingo tackles Chelsea
