NNL:10-man Abia Comets Hold Crown FC To A stalemate In Ogbomoso

10-men Abia Comets Football Club of Umuahia, showed a lot of resilience, with a brilliant team performance, after holding Crown FC to a goalless draw, on Saturday, at the Soun Stadium, Ogbomoso.
The encounter, which was a Southern Conference A Matchday 7 clash, saw the Comets Boys produced a remarkable performance. Before the Referee awarded a penalty to the home team, but goalkeeper, Sunday Odoani, made a heroic penalty save to denied them a goal in the 68 minute.
After going a man down, when the referee sent off left back Ikenna Ogbonna with 20 minutes still to play in the game.
The defence marshalled by Bright Ogbonna and Churchill Nnanna, held on to helped the Comets Boys secure another vital point on the road in Ogbomoso.
With the draw, Abia Comets Extended its unbeaten streak to seven games, still maintain top spot in southern Conference A on 13 points from seven games.
Comets will face up against Uyo based club, Dakkada FC in Umuahia next weekend, in a Matchday 8 encounter.
