Paris 2024:Odunayo Adekuoroye Loses To China’s Kexin Hong

Nigeria’s Odunayo Adekuoroye has been beaten at the quarter-final of women’s 57kg wrestling at the ongoing Olympics in France.
She lost 10-8 to China’s Kexin Hong
Odunayo had won her second round fight to Fouzia Aouissi by a VIN (Victory by Injury), and was looking good in the quarterfinal against China’s Kexin Hong, leading 4-0 at some point.
But Kexin Hong fought back by scoring 8points in quick succession and eventually won the fight 10-8.
If the Chinese makes it to the Final, Adekuoroye will have a to fight for bronze medal via repechage.
Adekuoroye is 3 times Commonwealth Games Champion, World Silver/Bronze medallist and 9 times African Champion.
