Sunshine Queens Set For FA Cup Clash Against Green Foot FC

Sunshine Queens Football Club of Akure on Tuesday arrived Benin City to honour their Women President Federation Cup against Green Foot FC of Enugu.

The based side had earlier defeated Onimarg FC 1-0 at the state level to qualify for the national competition.

This will be first outing for the Akure Landladies after they suffered a 2-1 lost to Remo Stars Ladies in the last match of the Nigeria Women Football League which placed them in the bottom of the log and eventually sent them back to the Championship.

However, the management of the club had made some changes in the coaching crew of the 2015 Woman Federation Cup ,with Rafiu Oseni announced as head coach as Odunayo Adejoro was made first assistant coach, while the former second assistant coach, Adenike Ayeni appointed as the Team Manager.

While former Welfare Officer, Rose Obamuyi, now Team Secretary and former Camp Commandant, Olakitan Oladele upgraded to the office of Kit Manager and former Kit Manager, Vivian Emmanuel redeployed as Camp Commandant.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Mr Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye charged the officials to roll up their sleeves and get to work in ensuring the team is returned to the Elite league in no distant time.

The FA Cup between Sunshine Queens and Green Foot FC is scheduled for Ogbemudia stadium, Benin City by 4pm today.
