AFCON 2023: Burkina Faso Announce 27-Man Squad

Burkina Faso coach Hubert Velud has named the 27 players who will fly the country’s flag at the 2023 AFCON in Cote d Ivoire.

 

Burkina Faso are in Group D where they will battle against Algeria, Angola and Mauritania.

 

Check out the 27 players called up to represent Burkina Faso in Cote d’Ivoire. The Stallions are participating in the championship for the 13th time.

Their best outing was recorded at the 2013 edition in South Africa where they lost to eventual winners Nigeria losing by a lone goal deliered by Sunday Mba in the 40th minute of the match at the 85,000 capacity FNB Stadium, Johannesburg.

 

Recall that former Super Eagles Captain John Obi mikel emerged man of the match in that encounter.
