ODSFA Promotes Seven U-19 Players To Sunshine Stars FC,Tasks Them On Discipline, Professionalism
The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) has promoted seven promising U-19 players to Sunshine Stars FC as part of its continued efforts to develop and nurture young football talents in the state.
ODSFA chairman, Mr Devine Ogbonaya, disclosed this while speaking on the development at the games village Oda road Akure, noting that the players earned their promotion following careful monitoring of their performances and impressive displays.
The promoted players are Oreyomi Bamigbe, David Joseph, Uche Anaro, Alade Damilola, Yakubu Shuibu, Ugochukwu Lawrence and Khalil Nurudeen.
Mr Ogbonaya charged the players to give their best, remain disciplined and committed to their professional careers, while urging them to listen to the instructions of their coaches and work harmoniously with other members of the team.
He said the promotion was part of the agency’s commitment to providing a pathway for talented young footballers in Ondo state to progress into professional football.
On his part, Sunshine Stars FC Head Coach, Duke Udi, said the players were carefully assessed and selected strictly on merit.
Coach Udi added that the players had already been integrated into the first-team setup and featured in the club’s recent friendly match against Shooting Stars FC in Ibadan.
Sunshine Stars secured a 2–1 victory in the encounter, with the newly promoted players getting the opportunity to experience first-team football.
The development is expected to provide the young players with valuable exposure and further strengthen Sunshine Stars FC’s commitment to developing home-grown talents.
