Yadzo Oti Warriors Football Club and Nkonya All Stars Sporting Club have officially booked their places in the upcoming Volta Regional Middle League after emerging as group winners in the just-concluded Northern Sector Sub-Middle League competition.
The highly competitive tournament, part of the Volta Regional Football Association Division Two Sub-Middle League for the 2025/2026 season, brought together eight ambitious clubs battling for qualification to the next stage.
Yadzo Oti Warriors delivered an impressive performance to finish top of Group A in the Mart ‘D’ Electricals Volta FA Division Two Sub-Middle League, showcasing consistency, tactical discipline, and attacking intent throughout the competition.
In Group B, Nkonya All Stars Sporting Club matched that excellence, finishing at the summit with six points to secure their qualification spot in style.
The three-day football spectacle, hosted at the iconic Ho Sports Stadium, lived up to expectations as fans witnessed thrilling encounters and emerging talents.
A total of 21 goals were scored across the matches, reflecting the attacking quality and competitive spirit of the participating teams.
With the conclusion of the Northern Sector qualifiers, four clubs have now successfully secured their places in next month’s Volta Regional Middle League.
The clubs are:
Maranatha Football Club,Lokoe Diamond F.C,Yadzo Oti Warriors Football Club and Nkonya All Stars Sporting Club
Maranatha FC and Lokoe Diamond F.C had earlier qualified from the Central Sector, setting the pace for what promises to be a fiercely contested regional showdown.
Attention now shifts to the Southern Sector qualifiers, with matches set to take place at the Sogakope WAFA Park on Thursday.
The Southern Sector A fixtures will produce two more qualified teams, after which Southern Sector B will take center stage to determine the final two slots.
With four qualification spots still up for grabs, the race to the Volta Regional Middle League is far from over, and anticipation continues to build across the region.
