As the year draws to a close, the Chairman of the Ondo State Club Owners Association, Adepoju Banjo, has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to football stakeholders, club owners, players, coaches, administrators, supporters, and sports enthusiasts across the state.
In a goodwill message made available to the press, Banjo described the Christmas season as a time of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment, urging members of the association to uphold unity, professionalism, and sportsmanship as the new year beckons.
According to him, the outgoing year presented both challenges and opportunities for grassroots football development in Ondo State, noting that the resilience and cooperation of club owners helped sustain competitive football activities despite prevailing economic realities.
“Christmas reminds us of love, sacrifice, and togetherness, while the New Year gives us another opportunity to strengthen our resolve to grow football in Ondo State.
”I sincerely appreciate every club owner for their dedication, patience, and belief in the collective vision of this association,” he said.
The chairman also commended players and technical crews for their commitment throughout the year, stressing that grassroots football remains the foundation for discovering and nurturing talents capable of representing the state and the nation.
Looking ahead to the New Year, Banjo reaffirmed the association’s commitment to collaborating with relevant stakeholders, including the state football association and private partners, to improve competitions, welfare standards, and development programs.
“As we step into the New Year, our focus will remain on unity, development, and creating a sustainable football ecosystem that benefits our youths and promotes Ondo State positively,” he added.
Adepoju Banjo concluded by wishing all club owners, football stakeholders, and residents of Ondo State a joyful Christmas celebration and a prosperous, peaceful, and successful New Year.
