‎It is the end of an era for Nigerian football as Ahmed Musa has officially announced his retirement from international football, bringing the curtain down on a remarkable 15-year journey in the green and white of Nigeria .

‎Taking to his social media platforms, the former Super Eagles captain reflected on a career defined by pride, service, and unwavering commitment to the nation.

‎ “I wore this badge with pride for 15 years.

‎From a 17-year-old boy answering every call to becoming the most capped Super Eagle with 111 appearances.

‎”I gave everything ,thank you Nigeria,my heart will always beat green.”

‎Musa’s international journey began as a teenager and spanned all levels of the national teams U17, U20, U23, and the Super Eagles a testament to his longevity and consistency at the highest level.

‎During his illustrious career, Ahmed Musa made 111 appearances, becoming Nigeria’s most capped player of all time.

‎He was a key member of the Super Eagles side that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, and he etched his name into history as Nigeria’s highest goalscorer at the FIFA World Cup, scoring twice across two tournaments.

‎Beyond the goals and records, Musa stood out as a leader, proudly wearing the captain’s armband and representing the nation with dignity, passion, and professionalism.

‎As he steps away from international duty, the legacy of Ahmed Musa remains firmly etched in Nigerian football history a true servant of the game and a symbol of national pride.
