Nigerian winger Samuel Chukwueze opened his Premier League account with his first assist for Fulham, setting up Ryan Sessegnon’s opener in their 3-1 defeat to Bournemouth on Friday
Introduced as a second-half substitute in the 67th minute, Chukwueze made an immediate impact. Barely three minutes after coming on, he threaded a clever ball through the Bournemouth defence that found Sessegnon in stride.
The winger produced a cool finish over goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic to hand Fulham a 1-0 lead.
Despite the bright moment from Chukwueze, Fulham were unable to hold on. Bournemouth rallied strongly in the closing stages, with Antoine Semenyo pulling the hosts level with a fine solo effort.
Semenyo then turned provider for Justin Kluivert, who unleashed a stunning long-range strike to put Bournemouth in front.
In stoppage time, Semenyo struck again to complete his brace, sealing a 3-1 comeback victory for the Cherries.
For Chukwueze, however, the match marked an encouraging personal milestone.
The on-loan AC Milan star showcased his creativity and attacking instinct, leaving Fulham fans hopeful of more decisive contributions in the weeks ahead.
