El-Kanemi Warriors head coach, Kabiru Dogo, has praised his players’ efforts following their hard-fought 0-0 draw with Rivers United in Maiduguri on NPFL Matchday 3.
Speaking after the final whistle, Dogo expressed satisfaction with the discipline and improvement shown by his side, even though they could not secure all three points at home.
> “My boys played according to instructions. Rivers United is a big team, and I believe you can see the improvement compared to previous seasons whenever they visited Maiduguri,” Dogo said.
The former Sunshine Stars tactician urged fans to remain patient and optimistic, assuring them that the team’s form would improve as the season progresses.
“I want to thank our supporters and ask them to be patient. We are just starting. It’s not easy, but In Sha Allah, we are going to turn things around,” he added.
With this result, El-Kanemi Warriors sit 7th on the NPFL table with 5 points, and will next face Kun Khalifa in Matchday 4.
