Bayer Leverkusen has announced the sacking of head coach Erik ten Hag, just two league games into the new season.
The decision was made after a 3-3 draw against Werder Bremen on Saturday, where Leverkusen led 3-1 before conceding two late goals.
Ten Hag was appointed as Leverkusen’s head coach on July 1 and oversaw only three matches before his sacking.
Leverkusen’s summer transfers saw several key players leave, including Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Jonathan Tah, Granit Xhaka, and Amine Adli.
Fenerbahce relieved Mourinho of his duties last Friday after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
