Dynamo Kyiv Signs Nigerian Midfielder Shola Ogundana

FC Dynamo Kyiv has finalized the signing of 20-year-old Nigerian midfielder Shola Ogundana from Flamengo on a four-year contract.
Ogundana, born on February 22, 2005, in Ifaki, Nigeria, is a product of the Beyond Limits and Alex Transfiguration academies.
Ogundana won the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 in 2024 and 2025, and the Under-20 Intercontinental Cup in both years. He was named the best player in the Copa Libertadores Sub-20 in 2025.
In 46 matches for Flamengo’s youth team, Ogundana scored 9 goals and provided 7 assists, earning the nickname “Nigerian Rocket” for his speed and aggressive wing play.
Ogundana debuted for Flamengo’s main team in the Brazilian Serie A on November 14, 2024, becoming the first Nigerian and third African player in the club’s history.
Ogundana’s move to Dynamo Kyiv marks a new chapter in his career, joining a prominent Ukrainian club. His signing is expected to bring fresh energy to the team, given his impressive performances with Flamengo’s youth team and his professional debut.
