Technical Adviser of Doma Utd FC, Akinade Onigbide, has accused the referees of sabotage following his team’s 2-1 loss to Yobe Desert Stars FC in the ongoing NNL Super 8 Playoffs.

Onigbide cited several instances where he believed the referees made incorrect decisions, including a crucial flag for a foul near the box that led to Yobe’s goal.

“It’s obvious that the referees came here with a plan not to allow us play,” Onigbide said in a post-match interview.

“The Assistant referee 1 was bad, with the decision to flag for foul that shouldn’t have been close to the box that led to the goal.” Onigbide expressed frustration with the officiating, claiming it detracted from the league’s credibility.

Yobe Desert Stars FC will face Barau FC on Thursday in their final game of the NNL playoffs. Doma Utd FC’s loss puts pressure on the team that loses to Barau FC, potentially impacting their chances of advancing.
