Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defeated Water FC of Abuja 1-0 in their first training game on Wednesday.
Bayelsa United striker Rabiu Abdullahi scored the winning goal for Aliyu Zubairu’s side.
The Flying Eagles are preparing for the WAFU B U-20 Championship in Togo.
The team started preparations for the competition last week Thursday in Abuja.
Zubairu was appointed head coach of the former African champions last month.
The WAFU Championship will decide the team that will represent the zone at the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
