Super Eagles Boost: Bamidele Yusuf Finds Net Again, Sends Strong Message to Chelle
By Sportsgister
Nigerian striker Bamidele Yusuf continued his impressive goal-scoring run on Sunday, finding the back of the net as Ferencváros secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Paks in the Hungarian NB I.
Yusuf broke the deadlock in the 59th minute, putting Ferencváros ahead after receiving an assist from M. Corbu, as the Nigerian forward once again demonstrated his importance to the Hungarian giants.
His impressive performance adds another chapter to what has been an exciting campaign, with the former Nigerian youth international continuing to make his mark in European football.
Yusuf was also on target in Ferencváros’ emphatic 4-1 Hungarian Cup victory over Bicskei last Wednesday, further underlining his growing influence in front of goal.
With the Nigerian striker consistently delivering when called upon, attention will now turn to Thursday’s UEFA Europa League showdown against Italian giants AC Milan, where he will be hoping to maintain his scoring touch.
His recent performances have strengthened the argument for a place in the Super Eagles, with national team head coach Eric Chelle being urged to take a closer look at the in-form forward.
As Nigeria continues to search for dependable attacking options, Yusuf’s growing confidence, consistency and eye for goal could make him a valuable addition to the national team.
Chelle may have several attacking options at his disposal, but Bamidele Yusuf is certainly making a strong case for consideration.
