‎Manchester United are facing a potential setback after Patrick Dorgu sustained a hamstring injury during Sunday’s dramatic 3–2 Premier League victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

‎The 21-year-old Danish international, who delivered a stunning strike from the edge of the box to score United’s second goal, was forced off in the closing moments of the match. Initial hopes from interim head coach Michael Carrick that the issue was merely cramp have since been ruled out.

‎Club sources have confirmed that the injury is more serious, with Dorgu expected to miss several weeks of action. However, the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, and no definitive timeline has yet been placed on his return.

‎Dorgu has been one of United’s standout performers in recent weeks. Since arriving from Italian side Lecce 12 months ago as a wing-back, he has flourished in a more advanced left-sided attacking role under Carrick.

‎ His goal against Arsenal followed another impressive strike in United’s recent win over Manchester City, underlining his growing influence in the squad.

‎Manchester United are scheduled to play eight Premier League matches before the March international break, a period during which Dorgu is expected to be called up by Denmark for their World Cup play-off fixtures  a scenario now cast into doubt by the injury.

‎In his absence, United could turn to Matheus Cunha, who has started the club’s last two matches on the bench but made a decisive impact by scoring the winning goal against Arsenal.

‎United’s medical team will continue to monitor Dorgu’s recovery closely as the club navigates a demanding run of fixtures without one of its most in-form young stars.
