The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has imposed a ₦7 million fine on Remo Stars for security lapses during their Matchday 20 fixture against Ikorodu City.

Although the Sky Blue Stars secured a narrow 1–0 victory in the encounter, the aftermath of the game was overshadowed by disturbances involving supporters of both teams. Reports confirmed that several away fans sustained injuries, while some vehicles were vandalised following post-match clashes.

In its ruling, the NPFL stated that Remo Stars failed to ensure adequate safety measures at the venue, a violation of league regulations designed to protect match officials, players, and supporters.

Beyond the financial penalty, the league has ordered Remo Stars to relocate their remaining home fixtures for the season. The club will now host its matches at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasinga, Ibadan, pending further review.

The NPFL added that the decision was taken to deter future misconduct and promote a safer matchday environment across the league.

Remo Stars have been given 48 hours to submit an appeal against the sanctions.
