The Management of Kano Pillars Football Club has announced the immediate suspension of the club’s Technical Adviser, Coach Ogenyi Evans, and Chief Coach, Ahmed Garba (Yaro Yaro), following a series of disappointing performances in the ongoing 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
According to an official statement released by the club, the decision was taken after a thorough review of the team’s recent outings, which have fallen below expectations.
So far, the Sai Masu Gida have played eight league matches, recording two victories, two draws, and four defeats, a performance the management described as “unacceptable for a club of Kano Pillars’ pedigree.”
In a move aimed at stabilizing the team, former club captain and current Assistant Coach, Gambo Muhammad, has been appointed to oversee the team’s technical responsibilities on an interim basis.
He will be assisted by Goalkeeper Coach, Suleiman Shuaibu, while Coach Garzali Muhammad (Kusa) from Junior Pillars will join the setup in a temporary support role, pending further directives from the club’s hierarchy.
The club’s management reassured supporters of its commitment to restoring Kano Pillars’ competitive spirit and strong performance in the league, urging fans to remain patient and continue to back the team during this transition period.
