Gift Orban Joins Hellas Verona on Loan from TSG Hoffenheim
By Sportsgister
‎Nigerian striker Gift Orban has signed a loan deal with Hellas Verona, a Serie A club, from TSG Hoffenheim, a Bundesliga outfit.
‎
‎The loan agreement includes an option to buy, which would see Orban join Verona permanently for €8 million next summer.
‎
‎
‎Orban, 23, joined Hoffenheim from Olympique Lyonnais in January 2025 and made a promising start, scoring four goals in his first six appearances.
‎
‎However, he struggled with injuries and a loss of form, eventually scoring four goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.
‎
‎ This loan move to Hellas Verona offers Orban a fresh start in Serie A, where he can revive his career under coach Pablo Zanetti.
‎
‎If Hellas Verona decides to trigger the buyout option, Orban’s contract would run until June 2029.
‎
‎This deal provides Verona with flexibility, allowing them to assess Orban’s performance before committing to a permanent transfer.
‎
‎
‎Orban’s career has seen him play for several clubs, including Stabaek, KAA Gent, and Olympique Lyonnais.
‎
‎His move to Hellas Verona is seen as an opportunity for the Nigerian forward to regain his form and make an impact in Serie A.
