Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru has signed a two-year contract with Turkish Super Lig outfit Genclerbirligi on a permanent transfer.
The 28-year-old joined the Red and Black on a free transfer after his contract with Saudi Arabia Professional Football League side Al-Fahya expired last month.
Onyekuru has previously played in Turkey for Galatasaray and Adana Demirspor, and he won the Turkish Super Lig and Turkish Cup with Galatasaray in the 2018/19 season.
The striker scored 10 goals in 29 league appearances for Al Fahya before making the move to Genclerbirligi.
Genclerbirligi were promoted to the Turkish top-flight last season, and Onyekuru’s signing is expected to boost the team’s chances of success in the Super Lig.
The Nigerian striker is looking to make an impact with his new team and help them establish themselves in the top division.
