Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta believes that at least nine Premier League teams have the potential to win the title next season.
The Gunners have finished as runners-up in the league for three consecutive seasons, narrowly missing out on the top spot to Manchester City and Liverpool.
Arsenal has made significant investments in their squad this summer, signing Martín Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Noni Madueke, and Christian Nørgaard. Arteta is also expected to add Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP to his squad.
However, Arsenal’s rivals Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea have also invested heavily in their squads, making the league highly competitive.
Arteta acknowledged the strength of the competition, stating that there are several teams with the right ingredients to win the title.
Arteta emphasized the importance of focusing on what can be controlled to achieve success.
”There are another six, seven, eight clubs in the league that have the right ingredients to win, and there is only going to be one winner,” he said. “So we have to focus a lot on the things that we can control, that we can do, to achieve what we want at the end of the season.”
