Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has expressed her team’s determination to win a 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title at the 2024 edition in Morocco.
After being dethroned by South Africa’s Banyana Banyana in the previous edition, the Super Falcons are eager to reclaim their spot at the top.
Ajibade noted that the players are in high spirits and committed to their goal, understanding what’s at stake.
The Super Falcons recently defeated Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses 2-0 in a friendly match.
The 2024 WAFCON will take place from July 5 to July 26 in Morocco, with the Super Falcons set to face Tunisia in their opening match on July 6.
