The inseparable ties that bind the government and football in Nigeria has made it difficult for us to breath in enough success that sustains the joy football gives.

Mr. Chidimma Peter, a proud Liverpool, inspired by the 2005 UEFA Champions League success of the Merseyside Red established Petson FC in 2021, just a season after Liverpool won their first EPL title in the Premier League era. He is the sole financier of the club, catering for the players and technical crew welfare and logistics.

 

The future speaks of possibility for Petson FC of Aba, who in the last three to four years have played in the state FA Cup, NLO, Nationwide League 3 just to mention a few.

 

The club is poised to journey beyond the present day achievements through the wings and wheels of Head Coach Emma Dickson and his assistant, Coach Benson Nwabiarije.

 

Formerly the Technical Adviser of Abia Angels FC, Coach Emma Dickson has brought a touch of professionalism to the club, changing the players mindset to set sights on the pathway of success.

 

The synergy between coach Dickson and Benson is dated back to days at …. where they discovered and developed former NPFL champion with Rivers United, Kazie Enyinnaya, who now plays for Stellenbosch in South Africa’s PSL.

 

The vision of both coaches is to shape and reshape young players of PETSON FOOTBALL CLUB into viable products that can strive in the world of professional football.
