Kogi United Fc Management Terminate Appointment Of Technical Adviser, Other Coaches. 

…….Appoints Coach Yusuf Salihu in Interim capacity.

Management of Kogi United football club has terminated the appointment of the Technical Adviser of the Club Chidi Oji with immediate effect.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the club Honourable Abdulmalik Isah and made available to the public on Saturday said after due consultations based on the Clubs recent poor run of results and the marching order given by the Government through the Ministry Of Youth and Sport development for the repositioning of the club ahead of the forthcoming Nationwide League One season, the need to rejig the club with fresh and experience hands became imperative.

It is therefore in the light of these that the State Ministry Of Youth and Sport ordered the termination of the contract of the Technical Adviser and other Coaches to allow for fresh hands to be recruited to take charge of the Club and reposition it ahead of the New Season.

Honourable Isah said the Ministry of Sports which controls the State owned clubs has approved that Coach Yusuf Salihu takes charge temporarily pending when a substantive Head coach is appointed.

Kogi United Fc will kick start it’s preparations ahead of the 2025 Nationwide League One with the 2025 Kogi State Federation Cup duel against Bako Fc on Saturday, 15th February 2025 at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium Complex Lokoja.
