Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen continued his fine form, scoring the decisive goal in Galatasaray’s 1-0 triumph over Konyaspor at Rams Park on Saturday.

The Nigerian forward, who has now scored three goals in his last three Super Lig appearances, was a constant threat to the Konyaspor defense. Galatasaray dominated from the outset, and Osimhen had his first chance in the 12th minute, narrowly missing a header from a well-delivered cross.

Osimhen’s persistence paid off in the 20th minute when he won a penalty after drawing a foul from Ismael Jakobs. The 24-year-old stepped up confidently to convert, giving the hosts a deserved lead.

Galatasaray maintained control throughout the first half and carried their 1-0 advantage into the break. Osimhen thought he had doubled his tally in the 54th minute, but his effort was ruled out for offside. Another opportunity came his way in the 62nd minute, but the Konyaspor goalkeeper denied him.

The Nigerian international played the full 90 minutes, registering six goal attempts and showcasing his attacking intent. His solitary goal proved enough as Galatasaray secured all three points, further solidifying their Super Lig title ambitions.
