Nigerian Midfielder Nathan Tella bagged his first league goal of the season on Friday as Bayer Leverkusen defeated Borussia Dortmund 3-2 at the Signal Iduna Park

Tella who scored the only goal earlier in the season as Leverkusen beat Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal.

He gave Leverkusen a blistering start after firing home the opener in the first two minutes of the match.

Patrik Schick doubled the advantage eight minutes later.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens pulled a goal back for the hosts while Schick restored their two-goal advantage few minutes later.

Guinea Striker Serhou Guirassy converted a 79th minute penalty to reduce the deficit for Dortmund.

Nathan Tella was later substituted for Martin Terrier in 74th minute.

With the win, Leverkusen remain second on the table, one point behind Bayern Munich who have a game in hand.
