NWFL Championship: Kafayat Bashiru Confident of Osun Babes Promotion after her Heroic Display against Moje Queens

Two goals hero, Kafayat Bashiru has expressed her confidence in Osun Babes FC after the team won massively against Moje Queens in group A2.
Kafayat Bashiru opened the scoring for Osun Babes in the 17th minutes with a freekick from 25yards out before Eberechukwu Oleka doubled the lead in the 22nd minutes with another freekick from 35yards.
The third goal came in the 48th minutes when a player of Moje Queens was adjudged to have touched the ball in the area with her hand. Rebecca Omodele’s initial penalty was saved by the goalkeeper but Rebecca was on hand to score the rebound.
Kafayat Bashiru who was a thorn in the flesh of Moje Queens all through the match got her brace in the 86th minutes when she received a wonderful chested pass from Marcus Grace before dribbling the goalkeeper to make it 4 nil for Osun Babes.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the match, the elated Kafayat Bashiru was full of praise for the performance of the team.
” We played well as an entity. We were compact and formidable. Hence, we got four goals.”
” If we keep on playing like this, our promotion is certain.” Concluded Kafayat.
Osun Babes FC would not be in action until Tuesday, 3rd September, 2024 when they would play against Wazbak International FC.
