The Ikon Allah Boys recorded their second consecutive win in the Unity Pre-Season Tournament, thanks to a late goal from Rowland Mbre against 12k-19 FC of Abuja.
The match was tightly contested, with the Abuja-based team putting up a resilient fight against the Ikon Allah Boys.
The first half ended goalless, but Niger Tornadoes FC gained momentum in the second half with the introduction of substitutes Moses Omoduemuke and Rowland Mbre and the likes. A stunning assist from Joshua Enaholo set up Rowland Mbre, who drove forward and scored the winning goal, beating the opposition’s goalkeeper.
With this win, Majin Mohammed’s team inches closer to qualification for the next stage of the tournament. Niger Tornadoes FC will have a rest day tomorrow before facing EFCC FC in their third match.
