NPFL: Remo Stars Beat Rivers United To Close Gap On Rangers

Remo Stars came from behind yesterday to beat visitors Rivers United.

Erstwhile Remo Stars player Andy Okpe who netted in the first leg drew the first blood for the visitors.

Hadi Haruna levelled the game in the second half while Franck Mawuena scored the winner late on.

The win was Remo Stars’ first victory over Rivers United since being promoted to NPFL.

Remo Stars have leapfrogged second placed Enyimba FC.

The Ikenne-based side now have 56 points one point behind league leaders Rangers FC.
