2024 NLO: Ojodu City FC Wins Maracana Center 2 In Style

After the conclusion of Day 8 matches in the Maracana Center 2 Lagos of the 2024 Nationwide League One on Sunday, Ojodu City FC has opened an unassailable lead in the center thus winning the group with two matches to spare .

Ojodu City FC defeated BYT FC by 4-1 in the first match of the day to take their point haul to 21 points having won all the seven matches played scoring 20 goals in the process and conceding only three.

O O.I.M needed to win against Admiralty FC to delay the coronation of the City boys as the winner of the center but O.O.I.M could manage 1-1 draw which left the church Boys with 14 points after seven matches thus trailing Ojodu City FC at the top with an unassailable seven points with two Matchdays to go.

Ojodu City FC will now proceed to the next round of the competition as the struggle for qualification into the Nigeria National League, (NNL) continues

In the other matches played in the center on Sunday, Glory Boys FC smashed Buruj FC by 11-0 while RORO FC came from two goals down to defeat Emmydinho FC by 4-2.

In the last match of the day, Okaka FC and Sporting LFA settled for a goalless draw after 90 minutes,effectively eliminating Sporting LFA in the scheme of things

The competition continues on Tuesday in the centre as O.O.I.M, BYT, RORO and Admiralty FC Scramble for the second place finish, a spot which is still open for grabs with two matches to go.
