Moyi Hassan Wins MOTM As Nasarawa United Scoop Maximum Points Off NAF FC

Defensive midfielder, Moyi Hassan, was voted Man-of-the-Match for his stellar performance in his team’s, Nasarawa United’s 1-0 victory over a highly deternined North Central side, NAF FC, in the 2023/24 Nigeria National League Group C match-day seven game decided at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday evening.

The prodigy caused a lot of tough times for the opponents with his defense-splitting passes and efforts on goal while also making his territory very tight for the visitors.

Moyi’s persistence paid off when one of his deadly passes struck the trailing arm of NAF FC defender, Adeyemi Akintoye, giving the referee no option but to point to the spot for a penalty.

Legendary goal poacher, Adamu Hassan, stepped up to convert the resultant penalty to give United the lead in the 80th minute.

The goal was enough to earn the Solid Miners the maximum points and took them to the 2nd position on the Group C ladder with 13 points, just a point behind table-topping El-Kanemi Warriors FC of Maiduguri who pipped EFCC 1-0 in their fixture.

United will wrap up the first stanza of the league with a long trip to Ilorin, Kwara State, to face another North Central opponents, ABS, on Saturday, 20th January, 2024, at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
