Heartland head coach, Kennedy Boboye has praised his player’s resilience in the vital 1-0 home win over Akwa United on Sunday at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.

Chidiebere Ajoku scored the decisive goal for the Naze Millionaires in first-half stoppages.

Boboye revealed that he and his players are not content with their present position on the table and that getting the results that will keep them away from the drop zone as soon as possible is their priority ahead of subsequent games.

“We have gotten the vital win. This is done and dusted and we are looking forward to the next game with Doma United in Gombe,” Boboye disclosed to the club’s media.

“We feel good. It is due to the hard work of everyone in the team. We will keep on pushing because we will need to get out of the position we are in.”

Heartland FC will face Doma United on Thursday in another league tie.
