Ekiti State Football Referees Council Chairman Preaches Professionalism Following Suspension Of Referees Over Misconduct.

The chairman of Ekiti State Referees council, Mr. Adesina Oguntuase has stressed the need for match officials to always uphold professionalism above other interests.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Newcruse FM Oguntuase reacted to the suspension of some match officials by the Nigeria Football Federation NFF refereeing Development committee over alleged irregularities.

According to Oguntuase, match officials more than ever must be committed to the goal of the game which is fair play as well as a level playing ground for every team, this he said, would bring the country’s officiating into good light.

Speaking further, Oguntuase also called for training and retraining of match officials to be able to be at their best and compete with their contemporaries across Africa and beyond.
