NWFL Matchday Two: Be Focused Sunshine Queens Captain Charges Teammates Ahead FC Robo’s Clash

Ahead of the Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL matchday two against FC Robo, Sunshine Queens captain, Suliyat Ajibade has charged her teammates to remain focused and keep believing in themselves.

Ajibade said she is confident that Sunshine Queens will pick the three maximum points against their host in the female league encounter scheduled for Onikan stadium , Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Wednesday by 2pm.

Sunshine Queens had defeated FC Robo 2-1 in Akure during the 2021/22 season while FC Robo also beat Sunshine Queens in their adopted home, Ijebu – Ode same season.

Ajibade in a chat with the team’s media in Lagos said they possessed all the quality to conquer this season, saying they will try their best and will not come to Lagos in vain.

She added that she believes so much in the team and coaching crew who had impacted the winning formula in our team, we will not let them down.

The team captain said she took responsibility as the captain of the team by taking the penalty against Bayelsa Queens which to the glory of God gave them the lead in the match before they pulled one back to draw level.

She said: “The courage to play the penalty was from the support and encouragement I got from my teammates, I can’t do anything without the support of my assistants and the entire players.

“I must confess, the support from my playmates since I was appointed the captain of the team is massive which has been keeping us going.”

“Understanding among the players is massive, as the captain, with the help of my assistant and our matron, we will keep the team going higher.”

“We have no reason to entertain any fear against our opponent, we have been playing together before now and with our current squad, we are going to spring up a surprise this season.

“We should keep believing in ourselves and be confident, committed and not to loose concentration”, she said.
