Dakkada FC will begin chase for promotion back to the NPFL vs 1472 FC of Lagos on matchday one of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season.

According to official fixtures released by the Nigeria National League board, the Dakkada FC Vs 1472 FC match will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Venue for the match, SportsRation gathered is the Uyo Township Stadium with kickoff by 4pm.

The last-time Dakkada FC played in the Nigeria National League, they finished as champions in the 2019/2020 season.

They will return to the second tier, under a new head coach, Emmanuel King who oversaw the teams screening and recruitment of players, just like he did in the 2019/2020 season before handing over to Coach Caleb Esu who guided the club to promotion and league glory in 2020.

The Chosen Ones will start as one of the favourites to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League having lost their top-flight status at the end of the 2022/2023 season..

The Uyo based outfit will however walk a tight rope after losing most of their players from the ill-fated 2022/2023 season to clubs in the top-flight.

In opposition to Dakkada FC’s aspiration on matchday one is newly founded 1472 FC of Lagos.

Owned by Business-mogul Dozy Mmobuosi, 1472 FC will be playing in its first-ever competitive game when they file-out for the Nigeria National League matchday one fixture.

1472 FC will hit Uyo with a talented squad of youthful players with a mix of some established names for the game against Dakkada FC.

The 2023/2024 Nigeria National League season officially commenced last weekend In Lafia with the opening game featuring former NPFL side Nasarawa United Vs Zamfara United FC .

In that match, Aminu Abubakar scored the first NNL goal of the season in the 9th minute to guide Nasarawa United FC past Zamfara United FC.

NNL Matchday one action will continue this weekend across all four groups.
