NWFL24: Naira Rains On Nasarawa Amazons For Beating Naija Ratels In Abuja

It’s was double celebration for Nasarawa Amazons after beating Naija Ratels FC in their opening fixture of the Nigeria Women Football League Premiership at the Aguyi Ronsi Mini Stadia in Abuja.

The State’s Honorable Commissioner For Youth and Sports was the first to donate the sum of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) for their victory before The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Barr. Isaac Danladi handed the sum of hundred thousand naira to back the Honorable Commissioner up.

The Nasarawa State FA Chairman had earlier promised the the Amazon ladies the sum of two hundred thousand naira (N200,000) if they get a win in Abuja but went on to hand the team the sum of three hundred thousand naira (N300,000) for the manner at which they dismantled their host.

Ojiyovwi Kesiena had opened the scoring for Amazons in the 41st minutes before a double from Ayatsea Hambafan in the added minutes of first half and the 58th minutes was enough to hand the maximum points to the Nasarawa Amazons.

Naija Ratels got their consolation off Davis who was assisted by veteran Super Falcons Star, Onome Ebi.

Nasarawa Amazons will next host Heartland Queens FC in one of match day fixtures at the Lafia City Stadium in seven days time.
