2023 NASAJ Games: Bayelsa Judiciary Claim ‘Best Behaved Team’ Award; Wins 17 Medals.

Bayelsa State Judiciary team, were on sunday in Osogbo, named the best behaved team of the just concluded 2023 edition of the Chief Justice of Nigeria Games.
The Bayelsa State team claimed the accolade after exhibiting a high level of discipline and spirit of sportsmanship all through the Competition in the capital of Osun State, Osogbo.
The team competed in six games, namely, Table Tennis, Draught, Scrabble, Athletics, Swimming and Chess, winning a total number of 17 Medals, four gold, eight silver and five bronze.
The leader of the contigent and Bayelsa State Judiciary Sports Club Chairman, Comrade Temekori Dirikebamoh hailed the organisers of the yearly sporting events, thanking them for giving Judiciary staffs the opportunity to show what they are capable of doing as Sports men and women.
Dirikebamoh, who also doubles as the the Chairman of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Bayelsa State Chapter gave a special appreciation to the Chief Judge of Bayelsa State, Hon. Justice Matilda Abrakassa Ayemieye for the approval and financial support towards ensuring the team participated in this year’s event.
He also thanked the entire management of the Bayelsa State Judiciary for their superb encouragement, during and before the games in Osogbo.
“I am very happy and elated, as you can see the celebration. It shows that good behaviour pays alot,” Dirikebamoh said.
“Before coming to this competition, we were advised and encouraged by the Management of the judiciary, Bayelsa State, to comport ourselves, thereby, ensuribg there is no rancour among us.
“For us, that’s is what we imbibe on when we came, and developed on our games; We still have a lot to do, we need to improve and try to do better in next year’s games.
“It was indeed a great experience for the whole team, we appreciate the good people of Osun State, for their hospitality , while we were here. It is indeed a very peaceful city.” He concluded.
The just concluded Chief Justice of Nigeria Games in Osogbo is the 29th Edition of the yearly Sporting events meant for Judiciary staffs across the Federation.
