Alhassan Yusuf Hits first UEFA Champions League goal

Alhassan Yusuf tonight justified his first start in the UEFA Champions League with his first goal in the competition for Belgian champions Antwerp.

Alhassan started for Antwerp in the absence of the injured Mandela Keita and put his club ahead on 37 minutes with a well-taken goal against FC Porto.

He also enjoyed a good performance overall as he played the entire duration.

Fellow Nigerian stars Chidera Ejuke and George Ilenikhena were late subs for Antwerp.

However, after the interval Antwerp capitulated as they shipped in four goals to suffer their third straight loss in the group phase of the Champions League.

They have already lost to Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk halfway through the group phase.
