Heartland Queens football club of Owerri outclassed Fortress Ladies 2-0 to cruise into the knockout stage of the Betsy Obaseki football tournament with one game to spare.

Lucky Mary who promised more goals in the tournament kept to her promise as she netted the curtain raiser 15mins into the game.

A couple of disallowed goals and overlooked infringement couldn’t stop the pressurizing Owerri landladies from securing a second goal when Chinedu gift stepped up to smartly convert from the spot in the 80th minutes to extend the lead to 2-0

Heartland Queens having qualified for the knockout stage will now battle the defending champions of BOWFT FC Robo Queens in a dead rubber game for the bragging right and might for who retains the top of the table.
